return to topCourse won't load, only shows a gray background

In order to play the course, you will need to allow the course to run Adobe Flash or HTML 5. When you choose "Watch Course," you should see a pop up appear on your screen. It will have three options to choose from:

  • Autodetect my Browser
  • Watch course (Recommended with Chrome or Safari)
  • Watch course with Adobe Flash (Adobe Flash Player Plug-in Required)

We recommend trying the autodetect option first, as that will allow the software to see what browser you are using and play the course. PAN's Online courses work best in Google Chrome. If you opt for the option to watch the course with Adobe Flash and you need help installing a plug-in to run the software, you will need to seek out technical assistance with a family member, friend, or local computer group. Once you'be made a selection, the course should begin with an introduction to the course.

return to topDo I need any special software to run this Online course?

To play PAN's Online courses, you will need a web browser that allows cookies and has the Adobe Flash Player plug-in installed. Adobe Reader is required to print your certificate.

return to topHow do I get / download / install Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Reader?

Please visit Adobe's Web site at www.adobe.com. PAN does not offer technical advice on installing plug-ins, so if you do need assistance, we recommend asking a family member, friend, or local computer group for help.

return to topWhy should I allow "cookies" and how do I do that?

Your Internet browser must allow "cookies" – tiny pieces of information that are stored in the browser. These are necessary for the course to identify who you are, as the Online course attendee. Cookies do expire after a certain amount of time and PAN does not collect any data from the process or from your computer. If you do not allow cookies within your browser, you will not be able to log in and take the course.

Click on the browser you are using below for more information.

return to topHow do I start the Online Course and Final Review?

Once you have logged into the training site, you should see a course list. Under that option, there will be the choice to "Watch Course," which will begin the course. PAN recommends allotting three (3) hours to take the Notary Public Basic Education Online course and about six (6) hours to complete the Motor Vehicle Basic Online course. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to pick up where you left off if you leave the course. If you choose to log out mid-course, the software may force you to start over from the beginning.

return to topHow do I leave and come back to the presentation?

If you must log out, please make note of what section and slide is currently playing. Remember, we cannot guarantee that you can pick up where you left off in the course.
